it was surreal. having traveled some 803 miles on our bicycles through 6 states over 11 days. climbing more than 31,000 feet in elevation. not sure if there was any metaphor in the fact that the 13 riders road in on level ground before a standing ovation by the crowd of 13,000 plus in attendance. humbling and so encouraging that the story of the need in Joplin and Tuscaloosa is being told and how Convoy of Hope will impact those who are rebuilding. it was fun to meet and talk with one of my mentors and heroes – Lanny Donho backstage, who then rode in with us and interviewed Pastor Aaron Brown and Hal Donaldson and then encouraged the audience to invest by texting PRESENT to 50555.
