i’m sitting at home right now, when i should be hanging with some good friends in the shadow of pike’s peak. given the new travel restrictions, there isn’t any margin for the small carriers and even though i had a good 45 minutes to get to the plane i’m going standby on a 6:25am flight tomorrow. not sure if its just a reminder to stop cutting the margins or if its just plain silliness on my part.
but i shared with those that attempted to help me today…that the journey is more important than the destination…and the “what did i learn?” is more important. there’s already been several interesting aspects of this trip and i’m looking forward to see what God does. not sure if i’ll get a chance to post any more before i go but am making a more direct effort to use this blog to shape and share what i’m learning in this journey. the picture above is from a trip the jedster and i made two summers ago to the southern range…collegiate area for a father/teen adventure at spring canyon. my adventure this trip is to go a little deeper in understanding what God desires for his son and therefore for me personally. i’m looking forward to reconnecting with some men i met more than three years ago and wonder what new friendships will come this round.
