terrible

just learned today a young boy…age 9 took his life yesterday. amazing. how does a young bright life full of ambition find the world so dark and hopeless that suicide is the only answer? what a loss…how very troubling. this shows that our lives are very disconnected. i understand the young man has some issues at home..and at school. there is much that those that follow Jesus must engage on. there are so many that are in need of the Masters healing touch. noted author, john fischer had an interesting thot in a recent post from his catch of the day that might help raise our awareness to the plight of those who are hurting in our midst…try asking this question to those you encounter and then listen carefully for their reply…What has brought you life today? for me i could answer the work we did to close in on finishing a new tool in our tool shed to make an inviting place to grow relationships for the Kingdom. the bouldering wall got started today, another work day and it should be finished. pics here

update:  kurt @ saddleback has an excellent post on the absence of dads which i understand is the life of the young boy i mention above…scary things revealed here…
